The troubles which we see around us are the consequences of sin. When God created Adam and Eve, He placed them in a perfect garden. But sin has corrupted all things, and we live in a world that is tarnished. Yet the Bible says "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus' purpose in coming to earth was to save lost sinners and give them eternal life. That is GOOD NEWS! It is the best gift you could ever receive.
But a gift offered must be received in order to benefit us. If we reject the gift of salvation, then we will not have the heavenly home and eternal life which God offers us. You have a choice.
"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
